APSI is gearing up for an impactful presence at Seafood Expo North America from March 16-18, 2025 in Boston. At this premier event, the association will engage with a diverse audience that includes US seafood buyers, international donors, and NGOs. Central to APSI’s participation is a presentation by its chairman, who will outline the association’s FIP activities—highlighting pioneering efforts and strategic partnerships that drive sustainable practices within the seafood industry.
During the presentation, the chairman will detail the tangible progress and forward-thinking projects under APSI’s FIP umbrella, emphasizing how these efforts are reshaping industry standards. By showcasing measurable results and sharing insights on future objectives, APSI aims to inspire confidence and collaboration among stakeholders. The event not only provides a platform for networking but also reinforces APSI’s commitment to leading the charge in sustainable seafood innovation and ensuring a resilient future for the global seafood market.
Later in the year, APSI is set to further expand its international footprint by attending two major events in Barcelona. The association will join the European Tuna Conference on May 5, followed by the Seafood Expo Global from May 6-8. At these gatherings, APSI will concentrate on forging new connections with European tuna importers, particularly canneries that are equipped to import frozen precooked loins.
The goal of these engagements is to establish commercial relationships well ahead of 2026, ensuring that APSI’s buyers can take full advantage of the zero-tariff benefits under the EU’s ATQ system. By strategically aligning with key European industry players, APSI aims to enhance trade opportunities and secure a competitive edge in the evolving seafood market.
